The following is a list of resources available to transgender individuals in Western Massachusetts. While this certainly is not a complete list,
it's a good starting point, and many of these links will take you to some much more comprehensive listings.
Northampton/Amherst Resources
The GLBT Coumminity Center Project of Western Massachusetts, Inc. - The GLBT
Community Center Project (GLBT CCP or just CCP) provides a service to the community by being a place where an individual can obtain a refferal or tap into resources
of information. The CCP sponsers events locally and puts out a bi-monthly newsletter. The CCP acts a point of entry and provide a space (GLBT CCP Drop In Center)
for many people into the GLBT community who are just coming out. And the CCP is a catalyst for political and social change by giving the GLBT community a united voice

The University of Massachusetts Stonewall Center - The Stonewall center hosted this website for five years,
and has been an excellent resource for GLBT people in Western Massachusetts.
Northampton, MA - a wonderfully diverse town in western MA, also known as "Lesbianville, USA." Northampton
(NoHo) is the home of many Sunshine Club members.
The Valley Advocate - a GLBT friendly newsweekly.

It's Time Massachusetts! - a chapter of It's Time, America! (ITA!),
the first nationally-organized grassroots civil rights group seeking to secure and safeguard the rights of all transgendered persons.
Project 100, Inc. - Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered Community Center in Hartford, CT.

A leading advocate and educational
organization for promoting the self-definition and free expression of individual gender identity.
Pridenet: Transgender in the United States - listing of various groups and organizations throughout the U.S.
and Canada. They also have a few links to International sites.

Gianna Israel's Gender Library
Academic/Research
International Journal of Transgenderism - an online professional journal for researchers dealing with transgenderism.
Heavily slanted, however, to a medical model which views transgendering as an illness.
